What information do we collect?
You can visit our website without submitting any information about yourself or being required to register. We only collect personally identifiable information that is voluntarily and knowingly submitted.
When you visit our website or make a donation online or offline, you may provide us with personal information (such as your name, billing address, credit card or e-check information, e-mail and phone number) that you knowingly chose to disclose, which is collected and stored for various purposes.
If you send us an e-mail, subscribe to one of our publications, fill out our online campaign request (“Changing Lives Initiative”) or register for a fundraising event, we will have your name, e-mail and the other relevant information you have provided.
We ask for personal information so that we can fulfill your request and return your message. This information is retained and used in accordance with existing laws, rules, regulations and other practices.
How do we use information you choose to provide?
If you make a donation, register for a fundraising event, sign up for our e-newsletter, or fill out an online application your information will be added to one or more of our databases and you may be contacted by MPFIC with news and/or fundraising messages.
We may also provide opportunities for you to submit additional personal information through our “Contact Us” function. By submitting this information to us you give us permission to receive it, review it, edit it, store it, post it on our website (without specific identification information), and use it in appropriate settings designed to illustrate the impact of our services.
When you receive e-communications from MPFIC, there is always an option for you to unsubscribe. You may also contact us to have your name and contact information removed from our distribution lists.
How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit or access your personal information.
Our credit card processing is PCI Compliant with PayPal. MPFIC does not process or store any of your credit card information.
We keep any paper documents containing personal information in locked file cabinets and shred paper documents prior to disposal.
Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow them) that enable the site’s or service providers’ systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
Our website may log the IP addresses of visitors, but only to administer the site and diagnose problems with our server. IP addresses are not used to identify individuals.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We reserve the right to share personal information you provide with legal authorities if it is, in our sole opinion, necessary to investigate, prevent or take action regarding suspected fraud, situations involving threats or potential harm or if required by law (such as by subpoena, court order or other legal means).
